Are you interested in the new Microsoft Zune? This new mp3 player has taken the world by storm, and is sure to win over thousands of people in the next few months. But before you get too excited about the new Zune you should really know what you are getting yourself into. After all, would you buy anything else without comparing price? When you compare Zune prices you will know what you are getting as well as if you are getting your moneys worth.

Since the Microsoft Zune was released in mid November there has not been too much time for people to get excited just yet. But with that being said, the large majority of people who have purchased a Zune seem to be quite happy. They state that the features, storage, and screen on the Zune are sure to make it a big hit as Christmas season rolls around, and the new year starts. And one thing is for sure; Microsoft is definitely hoping that the Zune will be as popular as the Apple iPod.

You do not have to look very far if you want to compare Zune prices. The fact of the matter is that since the Zune is relatively new there is not too much going on as far as price fluctuations is concerned. The majority of land based retailers are selling the Zune at $249.99, and it does not appear that this is going to change anytime in the near future.

If you want to save a couple of bucks you may be able to compare Zune prices online to find a retailer that is offering a small price break. But even with all of the competition on the internet prices are pretty much holding steady at this time.

Comparing Zune prices to the Apple iPod is also a very simple task. The reason for this is because the iPod is also priced at $249. It is safe to say that when Microsoft released the Zune that they were aiming squarely for the crowd that has fell in love with the iPod. They figured that if they could offer a better product for the same amount of money that they could come out on top. Early data shows that the Zune may very well be able to pull this off. But of course it will take several months before the final verdict is in.

Overall, when you compare Zune prices to other options such as the iPod you can see what kind of value you are getting. At this time there are no discounts on the Zune, and this should probably hold true for the next few months at the very least. The good thing for Microsoft is that they priced the Zune to compete directly with the number one mp3 player in the industry, the Apple iPod. It is going to be very interesting to see which one of these units comes out on top as the holiday season gets underway.
