jesus god I pray that this was supposed to be satirical of Zune fanboys, because if not I can officially think of one good reason to start supporting abortion.
Wonderful compared to Vista and the original Zune MAYBE, but both of those might as well have run off of human tears for how user friendly they were. If I used a Zune (I do have one, but if I actually used it) I’d get this nagging feeling that I missed out on something great every time I saw someone that had an iPod.
Apple also started making phones wayyyy later than microsoft, but now, I look to my left, right, and center and all i see is iphone iphone iphone. I do believe that iPods are overpopular due to people following the status quo, but you can’t deny that what apple did for the market is astonishing. and iTunes is by far the best entertainment market that anyone has to offer.
Being told how stupid you were for giving 200 bucks to Microsoft trusting that the same company that made Windows Vista also made a single quality product is plenty of reason to fear being different. Especially considering that MS seems to have a pathological hatred for contemporary design and general foresight (i.e. Zune2K, look it up).
If you consider coloration innovative then you sir are an idiot and deserve to have your brain placed in protective custody. Black and silver are contemporary colors for a contemporary device. The inherent problem is that the only people that the Zune appeals to more than the iPod are people like you, people with an irrational hatred of anything mainstream. I know 2 people in the whole of humankind that have a Zune, wanna know the shitty part? one is you and the other is me.
The only reason anyone would ever get a Zune is because A) they LOVE arguing with iPod owners or B) they are completely obsessed with being “nonconformist” (i suspect that this is you considering you basically revived my 3 month old comment just to state some arbitrary “feature” that the new Zune boasts because i have an iPhone, black plastic back so no scratching) If you consider a non scratching cover a reason to buy then you really have be sucking Microsoft’s dick for too long. Inhale please.
it certainly does not. without an eq it sucks. with ipod eq on r&b it sounds multiple times better. the zune has an airy output. i have both so i should know. i tested using the same headphones
I don’t care about colors. It’s just crappy industrial design. Ugly buttons, poor dimensions, edges etc. I simply invest in what is better, and that is the reason Apple products are popular.
Strict quality, unpretentious technology. They are never out to “kill” another product by testing the market with half-made ridiculous products.
Zune is what happens when business people with MBAs get too involved in products, getting too fancy about segmenting and sampling consumer needs.
Have you seen the Zune HD that comes in like 5 different colors. How many colors does the “good looking’ iPod Touch come in? From what I have seen, it comes in one…silver and black. Very innovative.
iPods are for people who are afraid to be different. People think iPods are better because “everyone has an iPod.” That is mostly true, but that doesn’t mean that the iPod is better. Strictly looking at features, the Zune has a lot more to offer. You must also think about how Apple started making MP3 Players about 6 years before Microsoft.
Lacked in sound quality? The Zune is made to have better sound quality than an iPod, which it does. It was probably the headphones that you were using that made the iPod sound better.

the ipod touch had a touch screen first, had apps first..most electronics have wifi now, and back then then ipod’s main purpose was music only

I guess they listened, the new Zunes KILL the iPods, especially because they don’t have a stupid shiny metal back that gets scratched to hell.
